The Story
The Process
From the beginning, we received a well-defined vision from our VP/Creative Director, Tina “TJ” Johnson Marcel, to reimagine how we approach and execute the Black History Month 2021 campaign. With that vision and the theme “FORWARD” in mind, I embarked on a creative journey to develop a design system inspired by Afrofuturism, Black History, and West African textiles. We aimed to create something unique while staying true to our brand’s identity. Executing this imaginative campaign while adhering to brand guidelines was a significant feat.
